AIDER was formed in January 2006 with the expressed aim of providing instruction and support by experienced clinicians, researchers, and teachers to overseas trained dentists wishing to prepare for the Australian Dental Council examinations and subsequent admission to practice dentistry in Australia.
For over 13 years, AIDER has been offering a range of programs and activities designed to provide students with exposure to many of the tasks likely to be encountered in practical examinations. Structured practice of such tasks will help build confidence, attain a deeper appreciation as to the expected standards, and better overall preparation for undertaking the exams.
The directors of AIDER are dentists with multiple qualifications and have extensive experience in organising such courses for the public sector, as well as many years of teaching and examining experience.
AIDER staff has been specially selected on the basis of their teaching experience at undergraduate, postgraduate, and overseas trained dentist course levels. Some are ADC graduates who can advise candidates on the basis of their personal experiences in preparing and sitting for the ADC examinations.
